The man behind the genes

Dr. Sharad Paul is an Indian author and a world-famous oncologist, based in New Zealand. He has written three novels, a collection of poetry and a number of works of non-fiction. His narrative non-fiction book Skin, a biography, received significant attention. Paul works in the zone where medicine and literature meet. “Medicine as a discipline cares as much about mankind as it cares about individuals. Medical history dissolves into individual stories.” Meet him in conversation with Evolutionary Biologist Dag O. Hessen.
