Bonnie 'Prince' Billy & the Cairo Gang and Susanna and the Magical Orchestra at The Norwegian Festival of Literature!

The Norwegian Festival of Literature invites you to a unique musical experience when Bonnie ‘Prince' Billy & The Cairo Gang and Susanna and the Magical Orchestra plays a double concert in Maihaugsalen on Saturday 29 May at 8pm.

 

The American artist Bonnie ‘Prince' Billy has, with records like I See a Darkness and Master and Everyone, become a legend among connoisseurs all over the world, and is regarded as a pioneer in alternative music. Bonnie ‘Prince' Billy exceeds musical genres and he is poetic and original as a songwriter. At Lillehammer, he will play from his new album due to be released in 2010.

Susanna and the Magical Orchestra consists of keyboard player Morten Qvenild and vocalist Susanna K. Wallumrød. The duo has released three critically acclaimed albums, and done several unforgettable covers of songs such as Dolly Parton's Jolene and Kiss' Crazy Crazy Nights. The record 3 from 2009 is a highlight to date by an exceptional duo, constantly discovered by listeners both in Norway and abroad.
